ABOUT

Kyle H. Dreyer is a partner in the Dallas office of Hartline, Dacus, Barger, Dreyer & Kern, L.L.P. He is a founding partner of the firm. Mr. Dreyer has served as lead trial counsel for major manufacturers in virtually every state. He has successfully tried complex cases in many different jurisdictions. His product liability practice includes the nationwide representation of a major domestic automotive manufacturer. He also serves as trial counsel for members of the petroleum industry, a domestic motorcycle manufacturer, large truck manufacturers, as well as a variety of other domestic and foreign manufacturers and suppliers of products. Mr. Dreyer has also served as trial counsel for personal injury claims and commercial property damage disputes that exceed primary coverage limits.

Mr. Dreyer has lectured on a variety of trial related skills at client-sponsored, law school and professional organization conferences. He is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, International Association of Defense Counsel, and the Product Liability Advisory Counsel.

CASE EXPERIENCE

  • Successfully obtained a defense verdict for a domestic automotive manufacturer in a 2006/2007 case in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, involving allegations of defect in a front seat.
  • Obtained Summary Judgment for a domestic automotive manufacturer in a 2006 case on the basis of federal preemption.
  • Received a defense verdict in a 2005 Texas case involving allegations of defect in the fuel system of a truck that allegedly caused a burn fatality.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a 2005 Oklahoma case involving allegations of defect in the fuel system of a truck that allegedly caused a burn fatality.
  • Obtained an opinion from the Texas Supreme Court in 2005 that reversed the trial court’s judgment in a post crash fire case and rendered judgment for a domestic automotive manufacturer.
