Brian S. Rawson
ABOUT
Brian Rawson is an associate in the Dallas office of
Hartline, Dacus, Barger, Dreyer & Kern, L.L.P. Before joining HDBDK
in 2003, he interned at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office
during the last two years of law school. At the DA’s Office, he assisted
Assistant District Attorneys in jury selection for dozens of felony cases,
all of which ultimately returned guilty verdicts. While attending SMU Dedman
School of Law, he was one of the 10 selected from his class as a Best Brief
Nominee for the SMU Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Phi
Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity and the Mac Taylor Inn of Court litigation
club.
Mr. Rawson is now a trial attorney who focuses on product liability litigation
for domestic and international automotive manufacturers. He has repeatedly
defended catastrophic injury and death claims involving airbags, restraint
systems, roof crush, glazing, fuel systems, ball joint separation, handling
and stability, rollover occupant protection systems, ESC, and overall
vehicle crashworthiness. In defending these allegations on many occasions,
Mr. Rawson has acquired expertise in vehicle components and technology
that allows him to effectively evaluate and defend automotive product
liability cases. His practice also includes defending clients in premises
liability, pharmaceutical product liability, and asbestos, silicosis,
and other toxic tort cases. Mr. Rawson regularly appears in both state
and federal courts, and his experience includes work at the trial level.
