Edward A. Davis
ABOUT
Eddy Davis is Of Counsel with the Dallas office of Hartline,
Dacus, Barger, Dreyer & Kern, L.L.P. He is a “second life” lawyer,
having spent seven years in the semi-conductor industry, the last three
while he was working his way through law school. His practice focus is
a mixture of business litigation and product liability defense. He has
participated in over 20 trials and arbitrations in a first chair and second
chair capacity with notable success. He has managed numerous cases in Texas
and other states.
CASE EXPERIENCE
- Successfully obtained summary judgment in a product liability claim against a fire suppression equipment and suppression agent manufacturer in a toxic exposure claim (first chair).
- Successfully obtained
summary judgment in product defect claim against a fire suppression
equipment manufacturer in which a multi-million dollar turkey processing
plant was destroyed (first chair).
- Successfully obtained
defense verdict in an automotive negligent repair claim (first chair).
- Obtained maximum
verdict in a real estate trial involving redemption violation (first
chair).
- Successfully obtained
summary judgment in a wrongful death case alleging that a defective
halogen lamp caused a fire.
- Successfully obtained defense
verdicts in multiple trials involving roof crush defect claims in rollover
automobile accidents.
- Currently representing
a manufacturer as a plaintiff against one of its suppliers who provided
defective fuel systems for its product.
- Currently defending a manufacturer
from a supplier’s claim that the manufacturer breached its master
distribution agreement leading to commercial losses.
- Currently defending against
a fraudulent transfer claim in local commercial dispute.
