David P. Stone
ABOUT
David Stone is a partner in the Dallas office of Hartline,
Dacus, Barger, Dreyer & Kern, L.L.P. He has served as trial counsel
for major manufacturers in many states including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma,
Louisiana and Mississippi. His product liability litigation practice is
focused on automotive products and pharmaceutical products. He has tried
dozens of cases to verdict including product liability cases, commercial
cases, employment disputes, insurance disputes and personal injury matters.
He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and has ties with many courts in North
and East Texas.
CASE EXPERIENCE
- Mr. Stone has successfully
obtained defense verdicts on behalf of both foreign and domestic auto
manufacturers in product liability cases tried in Texas and other states.
- Successfully obtained directed
verdict in favor of a pharmaceutical distributor in diet drug litigation
in 2004.
- Obtained summary judgment
that was upheld on appeal in favor of a foreign auto manufacturer in
a class action in which plaintiffs claimed allegedly defective seat
belts had diminished the value of their vehicles in 2005.
- Served as state wide liaison
counsel on behalf of a class of defendants in the diet drug litigation.
- Served as state wide liaison
counsel on behalf of managed health care defendants in pharmaceutical product
litigation involving a cholesterol reducing drug.
- Served as state wide liaison
counsel on behalf of a class of defendants in the PPA pharmaceutical
product litigation.
